VWAM AI Builder is an AI-powered setup and optimization assistant built directly into the VWAM chat editor. It helps you configure, style, and launch your chat faster by letting you describe what you need in plain language — no manual configuration required. Use AI Builder to pull brand colors and fonts directly from your website, set your chat's tone of voice, analyze conversation performance, or get your chat live quickly with a guided setup.
Before you begin
Before using AI Builder, make sure you have:
An active VWAM chat created and open in the editor.
Use the AI Builder
Open a chat in the VWAM editor.
In the top-right corner of the editor, select the AI Builder icon.
The AI Builder panel opens on the right side of the screen. From here, you can either select a prompt from the built-in prompt library or type your own request directly in the chat field.
Use a prompt from the library
AI Builder includes four preset prompts to help you get started:
Brand — Pulls your brand colors and styling from your website
Tone & Rules — Sets up your chat's tone of voice and conversation rules
Analyze — Reviews your existing conversations and surfaces improvement opportunities
Quick Setup — Walks you through the steps to get your chat ready to go live
Select any option to load it as your starting prompt, then follow the AI Builder's guided steps.
Type a custom prompt
You can also type any request directly into the AI Builder chat field. For example:
"Use an encouraging, engaging tone of voice"
"Apply a dark background with white text"
"Suggest improvements based on last month's conversations"
AI Builder responds with a suggested change. Review the suggestion, then select Apply changes to update your chat.
Apply brand styling from your website
Open AI Builder and select Brand, or type a request like "Pull my brand colors and styling from my website."
When prompted, enter your website URL.
AI Builder fetches your brand information — including colors and fonts — and displays a preview.
Review the suggested styling, then select Apply changes.
Your chat updates automatically to reflect your brand.
Set tone of voice
Open AI Builder and select Tone & Rules, or describe the tone you want (for example, "Set a friendly, professional tone").
Review the suggested tone and conversation rules.
Select Apply changes to update your chat's responses.
Next steps
Publish your chat by selecting Publish in the top-right corner of the editor once your configuration is complete.
Open the Conversations tab to review how visitors are engaging with your chat after it's live.
Return to AI Builder and use the Analyze prompt to identify areas for improvement based on real conversation data.

Can I use AI Builder on an existing chat?
Yes. AI Builder works on both new and existing chats. Open any chat in the editor and select the AI Builder icon to get started.
Does AI Builder overwrite my existing configuration?
AI Builder shows you a preview of any suggested changes before applying them. Select Apply changes only when you're ready to update your configuration.
Can I write my own prompts instead of using the preset options?
Yes. You can type any request directly into the AI Builder chat field. The preset prompts are a starting point, not a requirement.
